In 2 Timothy 2:24-26, Paul tells Timothy “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.”

As vessels, we know we’re capable of communicating Jesus Christ’s message through evangelism. You will find yourself in many different situations while carrying out this important mission. Not all of them will be easy, and you may struggle with doubt about your abilities.

We’ve all seen bad examples of evangelism, which have caused negative stereotypes to stick in people’s minds. Take on the task of proving yourself to be the exception! Sharing your faith with nonbelievers can feel intimidating, but you are striving to connect by sharing your heart and saving souls.

Always remember that every person is an eternal soul who deserves to go to heaven. Never forget that the world is broken and needs the gospel to help mend it or Evil will prevail. Don’t let what you consider to be your lack of encyclopedic knowledge of the Bible hold you back. Share both what you know and what you don’t and study up on Christian doctrine.
